Good morning, Morning After Team,
I have an issue that is causing a problem in my marriage. My husband has a history of misplacing/losing his debit card. Due to that reason we have had to go through the process of cancelling the card and waiting for a new re-issued card to come in the mail. He also tends to have the mindset that if he has the card on him it was a source of endless money for his spending joy. To top it off he neglects to clue me in on what he has spent that information only comes to light when I am attempting to pay bills and I see his spending debits on our online banking site. Since I am the designated bill payer in the family. It infuriates me when I am left scraping to pay bills due to his spending irresponsibility.
He has again misplaced/lost his card and is awaiting yet another. Unbeknownst to him the card arrived a few days ago and I cut it up and threw it out. With all of the identity theft and card compromising going on I just don’t feel good about his irresponsibility and the effects that could cripple us financially. How can I make him understand he has no business having a card? I can’t keep cutting cards he is going to catch on.

Do you think it’s wrong for Shayna’s husband to just spend without regard? Or is it wrong she cut up his replacement card?
