ZONING BOARD MEETING ON THURSDAY OVER POSSIBLE WALMART EXPANSION

A big fight is expected over a possible Walmart expansion in Millville. The News of Cumberland County reports that the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 152 is planning to fight the expansion at the Millville Zoning Board meeting on Thursday. The main center of contention, according to the report, is over the additional competition to other supermarkets and that Millville is in a UEZ zone, which means tax can’t be collected on food.
