ZERO TAX INCREASE ANNOUNCED FOR LOWER TOWNSHIP IN 2016

Taxpayers got some good news at Monday night’s Lower Township Council meeting. The 2016 budget was presented with a zero percent tax increase. Councilman Tom Conrad told Coastal Broadcasting that all township department heads worked together with the treasurer and township manager to stabilize the tax rate while actually increasing services for the residents. Conrad said cuts were made regarding insurance and other areas to keep the tax increase at zero.
