The Atlantic City police officer who was critically wounded in a shootout with burglary suspects on Saturday has been identified. A nine-year veteran of the force, 29 year-old Joshlee Vadell has been upgraded to critical but stable condition at an Atlantic City hospital. A Go Fund Me account named “This Blue Life Matters” has been started by a local businessman for Vadell and his family, and has already raised over $23,000. Two arrests were made in the case, but the New Jersey COP SHOT program has posted a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
