Woodbine Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the New Jersey Mayors Committee for a Green Future and Sustainable Jersey will be holding a networking event in Woodbine on Wednesday, August 18.
The event will be held at the Bull and Bear Tavern, Route 550, beginning at 6 p.m.
Share ideas for sustainable programs, learn about and provide feedback on the Sustainable Jersey program, and make new connections with leaders across the state. At 6:30 Fred Profeta, Chair of the Mayors Committee for a Green Future, will provide a short update on the Sustainable Jersey program, including upcoming trainings and grants.
“The Borough of Woodbine achieved Sustainable Jersey certification in 2008 and was awarded their first-ever Sustainability Champion Award in the Small Municipality Category. The Borough is now working on an upgraded Silver Certification,” noted Mayor Pikolycky. “As a member of the Mayors Committee for a Green Future, I join in inviting everyone interested in learning more about sustainable issues to join us at this event.”
