Woodbine Mayor William Pikolycky announced that the Borough of Woodbine has received on June 16 the following bids for road reconstruction for Scott Avenue:
South State Inc., Bridgeton, $92,175; Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., Hammonton, $99,546; Jonathan Hand Excavating, Inc., $111,610; Jerry & Sons Excavating, Inc., Mays Landing, $112,690; Ricky Slade Construction, Inc. Bridgeton, $116,997.50; American Asphalt Co., Inc., W. Collingswood Heights, $126,288.
Funding in the amount of $174,000 from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid program was awarded for this project.
This reconstruction of Scott Avenue is from DeHirsch Boulevard (County Route 550) to Freidriechstadt Avenue. The project would include construction of curbing, concrete apron, storm drainage improvements, milling and paving the street, and topsoil and seed restoration.
“Scott Avenue serves as an access route to our major industrial/commercial complex. This access route is a heavily traveled corridor for large vehicles,” noted Mayor Pikolycky. “The contract will be recommended for award at the June 17 Borough Council meeting.”
