Woodbine is receiving some money back for its recycling efforts. Mayor William Pikolycky announced that the borough will receive a 2014 recycling rebate in the amount of $5,944.47 from the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (CMCMUA). The recycling rebates for fiscal/calendar year 2014 were determined based upon a financial audit of the revenues and expenses for the operation of the CMCMUA’s Intermediate Processing Facility (IPF). Recycling not only produced this rebate, it allowed the municipality to avoid the payment of $29,928.34 in solid waste tipping fees.
