WOMAN SHOT ON BOAT OFF CAPE MAY

The Press of Atlantic City reports that a woman was shot on a boat Saturday night near Lund’s Fishery in Cape May. N.J. State Police and Lower Township Police are investigating the shooting that occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police found 38 year-old Doris Howell of Whitesboro with a shotgun wound to her lower leg on a boat. The alleged shooter was found on an adjacent boat and identified as 43 year-old Ernest Davis of Lower Township. Davis was arrested and charged with attempted murder and other charges. He was placed in the Cape May County Jail on $1 million bail. Howell was taken to an Atlantic City hospital and reportedly is in stable condition.
