WOMAN RESCUED FROM ATLANTIC CITY JETTY

A 21 year-old Pakistani woman was rescued Monday evening near a jetty off the Atlantic City beach. Fire rescue teams reached the unidentified woman who was reported drowning at the Rhode Island Avenue beach just after 6 p.m. Monday. The unconscious woman received CPR at the scene, and was transported to the hospital where she is listed in critical condition. The beach was unguarded at the time of the near-drowning, as lifeguards go off duty at 6 p.m.
