On Thursday night a 45-year-old Egg Harbor City woman was killed in a three-car accident on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) near Carton Avenue in Galloway Township. Police said Kay Campbell was extricated from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at about 9:16 p.m. Galloway Township police said she was driving west on Route 30 when her 2005 Hyundai crossed the center line and struck the rear of one car and then crashed head-on into a red Toyota Tacoma, operated by 62 year-old Donald Kleinschmidt of Absecon. Kleinschmidt was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the first car that was struck sustained minor injuries. The accident scene on Route 30 was shut down for three hours after the collision.
