Middle Township Police were on the scene of an alleged shooting that took place at a home on the corner of Church Road and Seashore Road in Rio Grande Tuesday night. The 30 block of Church Road was barricaded for several hours after police responded to a 911 call at about 6:15 p.m. and found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City and her identity was not revealed. The shooting is under investigation by Middle Twp. Police.
