A 27 year-old woman crashed her car into a tree early Wednesday morning and escaped serious injury. Hamilton Township police said Carmella Roberson drove her Nissan Sentra off Cologne Ave. near Paddock Street, and struck a tree around 4:45 a.m. Rescuers from the Cologne Volunteer Fire Co. and the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad had to extricate the victim from her car with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
