WOMAN AND CHILDREN INJURED IN ROUTE 47 ACCIDENT

Shore News Today reports that a woman and three children were injured on Route 47 when their car was struck from behind at about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Gilmarie Crespo, 23, of the Villas, was stopped in traffic, waiting to turn left into the Delsea Woods Community in her Toyota Corolla, when it was rear-ended by a Ford truck. Police issued a summons for careless driving to 68 year-old Joseph Degirolamo of North Cape May for allegedly crashing into the Toyota. Crespo had three children in her vehicle, ages 4, 5, and 8. Police said they were airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden and are in stable condition. Crespo was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
