Casinos can now end a slot machine jackpot and not pay the jackpot to a winner. A new law took effect today that allows a casino to post 30 days notice for when a slot machine jackpot is going to end. At that point if no one has won the grand prize, the casino can take that money. The chances for winning progressive slots jackpots has now increased from 50 million to 1 to 100 million to 1. Casinos says that this rule change allows them to rid the casino of machines that are not performing well.
