It looks like 2014 was a good year in the Wildwoods if you go by a key tourism measurement. The two percent tourism tax assessed by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority is on pace for its best year ever based on numbers through the end of Oct. The executive director of the authority, John Siciliano said they are still waiting on Nov. and Dec. numbers but they are trending well. The authority has been collecting the tax since 1994. The two percent Tourism Tax is imposed on room rentals, prepared food and beverage and certain admission fees.
