WILDWOOD WOMEN CELEBRATE 40 YEAR ANNIV. OF STATE SOFTBALL TITLE

It was a very unique and special anniversary celebration for former Wildwood High School athletes on Sunday. Most of the women from Wildwood’s 1976 NJSIAA State Championship softball team gathered to mark the 40th anniversary of their state title in Group I. Most of the 19 team members celebrated at a local restaurant Sunday night after attending the Phillies game that afternoon. The event was organized by former captain Donna Frederick, who makes sure the group gets together every five years to remember their championship season.
