Residents who use the Wildwood Water Utility can expect water main flushing operations to affect their service for a short period of time in April. Fire hydrants are scheduled to be opened first in the Rio Grande and Shawcrest areas on April 3rd and 4th. The project will then affect the city of Wildwood from Rio Grande Avenue northward to 26th Street and also West Wildwood from April 5th to 13th. North Wildwood to Anglesea will be next with maintenance there from April 14th to 20th. Finally, flushing will occur in the Southern section of Wildwood from Hand Avenue South through the Diamond Beach section of Lower Township April 21st to 28th. The utility advises you may have low water pressure or discolored water while the work is being done in your area. Avoid doing laundry and allow your water to run for several minutes after the work is completed. There will not be any water flushing activities on weekends or holidays.
