WILDWOOD TO KEEP MAY ELECTION DATE

A proposal to move the election date in Wildwood has been defeated. Both Commissioner Chip Harshaw and Al Brannen voted against the measure that would move next year’s election to November. Mayor Gary DeMarzo voted in favor based on the savings taxpayers would see. Residents showed up at the meeting and said the commission should not extend their own term limits. A petition had been circulated to make this issue be put on the ballot, if it was passed.
