WILDWOOD PROPOSES BUDGET WITH NO TAX INCREASE

A proposed budget in Wildwood would include no increase to the municipal tax rate. The commission presented the budget on first reading on Wednesday and it passed unanimously. The city is using a little bit more than half of the $2.1 million surplus it has to keep the tax rate down. Commissioner Pete Byron told Coastal Broadcasting that they didn’t even included a couple of sources of revenue they believe they will have as to ensure the budget is created on sound numbers.
