WILDWOOD POLICE TRY TO BREAK BARRIER WITH YOUTH

Wildwood Police are reaching out to the youth of the community with a series of signs on the Wildwood boardwalk. The signs request that kids don’t see police as a threat and can talk to them about issues and concerns if something comes up. The police are concerned that parents tell children to avoid the police because they will be locked up. The Wildwood Police Department is trying to become more involved in the community and don’t want to be assumed to be a threat so that people feel as though they can’t come to them with an issue.
