The city of Wildwood has changed and its mind and has rescinded a contract that permitted the lease of the former monster truck building on the city’s boardwalk. The City Commission met on Wednesday and rescinded the ordinance that drew the ire of some residents. The ordinance also allowed for the lease of the beach next to the building. The Press of Atlantic City reports that an ordinance that would have resulted in the purchase of land on Pacific Avenue for the use of a skating rink is also expected to be rescinded by city officials in the near future.
