The Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol won the 50th Beschen Callahan Lifeguard Championships in North Wildwood Friday night. Jon Burkett led the performances for the Crest in the event; Avalon placed second. NFL first round draft pick Mike McGlinchey of the San Francisco 49ers was in attendance to watch the event.
