Local property taxes will be going up in Wildwood Crest under a new budget plan introduced last week. Borough Clerk Kevin Yecco tells Coastal Broadcasting that the budget includes a 1.5 cent tax hike. Yecco said the borough has continued to cut the workforce through attrition and have taken much more of a “pay as you go” philosophy to keep down the amount of bonding done. The nearly $21 million spending plan does not include any layoffs.
