
The Borough of Wildwood Crest hosted its annual Patriot’s Day ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 11 to honor those who died during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The 20-minute ceremony was held at Turtle Gut Park at Miami Road and New Jersey Avenue, adjacent to Sunset Lake. Borough commissioners Joyce Gould, Carl Groon and Don Cabrera presided over the event. Various area religious leaders served as featured speakers, and Wildwood Crest resident Fred Spiewak sang opening and closing songs. Approximately 125 people attended the ceremony.
