WILDWOOD CREST DOESN’T ADOPT, BUT TAKES COMMENT ON BUDGET

The Wildwood Crest  Commission opened the public hearing on the municipal budget on Wednesday. A 6.6-cent tax increase is being proposed in the borough. Borough leaders did not hear from a large group of people, but those that showed up were largely not happy with the increase. The budget could not yet be adopted, but is expected to be later this month. Debt service payments and a spike in health insurance costs are among the major factors raising the taxes this year.
