WILDWOOD COULD SHED 20 POLICE OFFICER JOBS

Wildwood is looking at additional public safety cuts. Between retirements and layoffs, another 25 jobs are likely going to be removed. City officials are trying to cut down the budget, while dealing with a loss in ratable base. Every town has been losing ratables with the economy being what it has been. The police department could be down to 18 officers if the plan to layoff 20 police officers is approved by the state.
