The effort to fight “animal houses” in Wildwood could be taking a big step forward. Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano told Coastal Broadcasting that the city is looking at a program that would charge property owners if police need to come out and put a police officer at the site. Troiano took steps against the rowdy houses during his last term in office, and said this program could generate revenue and would help stop out a problem that has been plaguing the city. Also, anytime a city official, like a building inspector, has to come to an animal house, a fee would be accessed as well.
