The layoffs could be back on in Wildwood. Coastal Broadcasting can confirm that city officials are looking into the possibility of a layoff play for this year if the budget numbers don’t work out in the city’s favor. Wildwood still hasn’t introduced a budget as it waits to hear from the state whether they will kick in money for the Convention Center mortgage. Up to 25 people could lose their jobs in a layoff plan in enacted, but none in the police department, according to city officials.
