The City of Wildwood saw its new slate of City Commissioners sworn in on Tuesday. Ernie Troiano, Jr., Pete Byron and Tony Leonetti each took their oath of office, administered by former NJ State Senator James Cafiero. One of the first items on the agenda was selection of a mayor. Ernie Troiano was the unanimous choice as mayor of the city, and placed in charge of public works and public property. After the business portion of the meeting, each commissioner made comments to the standing-room-only crowd. Troiano said he hoped to “Bring back the promise Wildwood once had,” and “begged” the residents to help the City Commissioners to improve the city.
