An electronic dance concert will be returning to the Wildwood beach this summer. The dates being approved are July 8 and July 9. The two day concert is supposed to include other music genres. The organizers of the original BeachGlow are back to bring their festival to Wildwood. Mayor Ernie Troiano said the event would be held facing out to the ocean near the Wildwoods Convention Center. The proposal passed on a 2-1 vote, with Commissioner Tony Leonetti voted against. Owner of Morey’s Piers, Jack Morey, expressed his opposition to the event saying that the festival can bring drugs and language into a family town and is not a fit for Wildwood. BeachGlow organizers are planning to give proceeds from their year’s concert to the music program of the Wildwood school district.
