WILDWOOD BOARD REMOVES BASKETBALL COACH

Wildwood High School needs to find itself a new boys basketball coach. The Board of Education accepted a committee recommendation to let Mario Montanero go as head coach of the basketball team. The school would not go into detail about the removal, saying it was a personnel matter. Montanero has the right to appeal the decision. The Board of Education will hear that appeal in private. Montanero also has the right to have his appeal heard by an arbitrator. The job will be advertised for 10 days and a decision will be made by the school who to hire. The school will not name an interim coach, but will rather have the assistant coaches continue in their roles until a new head coach can be selected.
