WILDWOOD AND NORTH WILDWOOD FIREFIGHTERS GO THROUGH OPEN WATER TRAINING

Wildwood City Firefighters, along with North Wildwood Firefighters, recently conducted in-service training for open water rescue emergencies. This is a continued effort to keep firefighters skills sharp in handling drowning victims during the times that lifeguards may not be on-duty. Annually both departments conduct a full-day of training in equipment, its uses, techniques and scenarios so that firefighters are well prepared for these type emergencies. All firefighters are trained in the awareness level with many being trained in operations and technician levels.
