The widow of former Millville police officer Christopher Reeves does not plan to file a lawsuit against the city. Susan Reeves told The Press of Atlantic City that she never planned to sue the Millville Police Department, even though her attorney filed a tort notice on September 20th. To protect her rights, Reeves’ lawyer filed the tort claim to allow for a suit to be filed within two years of the incident. Christopher Reeves, 40, was killed on July 8th, when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle allegedly fleeing from another incident. The car was driven by 23 year-old Timothy Seidel, who is charged with vehicular homicide and DWI. According to her attorney, Reeves does plan to sue Seidel over her husband’s death.
