WHITE FLAG BY MARGATE, WILL NO LONGER FIGHT DUNE BATTLE

Margate has decided to give up the fight over a dune project.  City officials say they will not appeal the ruling made by a Superior Court judge that a federal dune project should be built in Margate.  City leaders for years have fought the battle, caving in to the public’s demand for views to the ocean.  The United States Army Corps of Engineers is now allowed to bid the project.
