WHELAN STEPS DOWN FROM CUMBERLAND COUNTY FREEHOLDER BOARD

The director of the Cumberland County Freeholder board has stepped down. Members of the Democratic party had asked William Whelan to step down because of an investigation into the operation of an unlicensed daycare run by his wife. Whelan didn’t mention the investigation in his resignation letter. Cumberland County democrats will have their chose of who will replace Whelan.
