WHELAN HOSPITALIZED WITH HEART CONDITION

State Senator Jim Whelan has been hospitalized to deal with an irregular heartbeat. Whelan was placed in the hospital on Wednesday to undergo a cardiac procedure to deal with the issue. Whelan told the AP it was a schedule procedure and he was supposed to be out of the hospital the same day but they wanted to keep him a few days for observation.
