Atlantic County State Senator Jim Whelan spent some time Monday talking about the huge problems facing Atlantic City. Whelan participated in a video conversation with NJ Advance Media this week and stated that Atlantic City is a victim of its own gaming success, and that sports betting is only one answer to the many problems facing the resort. Whelan also believes that someday, lawmakers will approve a casino for the northern part of the state.
