WEST CAPE MAY COMMISSION COULD EXPAND BY TWO

More commissioners, but they would get paid less than the current commissioners.  That’s the intent of a new petition that was handed in just before the weekend to Borough officials in West Cape May.  A group received more than 100 signatures on a new petition that attempts to increase the size of the governing body from three to five members.  The petition also calls for the newly elected five commissioners to be paid only $5,000 annually.  Now, the municipal clerk will see if all of the signatures are valid.
