A major accident closed Route 50 in Hamilton Township in both directions. A preliminary investigation revealed that the dump truck operated by Lionell Powell age 28 of Millville collided in the middle of the intersection with the dump truck operated by Shawn Virgillo age 35 of Bridgeton. Both drivers sustained moderate injury and were transported to an area hospital for treatment for their injuries. Crews were on scene for fuel clean up, which kept the roadway closed almost all Wednesday morning.
