If you’re too young to buy don’t even try that’s the slogan of the “We Check For 21” Program which officially starts in Cape May County on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Due to the popularity of the training program, the event takes place this year at the Wildwoods Convention Center located at 4501 Boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Two training sessions on fraudulent identification documents such as New Jersey and out of state licenses and international passports will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for employees of liquor license establishments in Cape May County.
Presentations will be made by the NJ Motor Vehicle Division and the Division of Alcohol Beverage Control, among others. Each session will run approximately an hour and a half.
This is the 18th anniversary of the program that originated in Cape May County and has since been implemented statewide. The initiative started in 1993 with forty businesses and today has more than 100 businesses participating in the program.
