Governor Chris Christie minced no words on Wednesday at a town-hall meeting in Morris County. According to the Associated Press, the governor was highly critical of Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford and his administration. Christie said that Atlantic City was “one of the most God-awful, wasteful municipal governments in America”. Mayor Langford answered the governor’s comments in an emailed statement that addressed them point-by-point. Langford said Christie’s comments are a poor reflection on state government, since Atlantic City has been monitored for the past three years by the N.J. Division of Community Affairs.
