A woman in Vineland was scammed out of over $40,000 because she thought she won $3.5 million. Police there say that Joanne King thought she won a contest called the “Lifetime Sweepstakes.” King believed that the contest was legitimate and made a number of wire transfers to try and collect her money. The scam took place over the course of five month. Police are investigating the matter further.
