VINELAND RESIDENTS SPEAK OUT AGAINST POLICE LAYOFFS

A meeting was held in Vineland on Tuesday to introduce the budget. Many people who spoke at the meeting asked city council to not lay off the 20 police officers that have received their notice. There has been an effort to redevelop the downtown area. The removal of police officers raises the concerns that the moves made to revitalize the business community will be for nought if there isn’t enough police protection.
