VINELAND POLICE SLAPPED WITH $10 MILLION LAWSUIT

The Vineland Police Department has been slapped with a civil lawsuit totaling $10 million in connection with the death of Phillip White.  White was a 32 year old Vineland resident who attempted to take an officer’s pistol while being placed in custody; White died en route to a hospital.  A Cumberland County grand jury failed to indict two officers involved in the case on any criminal charges.
