VINELAND NATIVE CALLED UP TO MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM

An injury has helped an area baseball player get called back up. Darren Ford has rejoined the San Francisco Giants after Andres Torres was placed on the 15-day disabled list with an Achilles’ injury. Ford is a graduate of Vineland High School and will likely serve as a defensive replacement and pinch runner for the team.
