VINELAND MAN DIES IN FRIDAY MORNING CAR WRECK

A 21-year-old Vineland man was killed early Friday morning when his car struck a tree. Vineland Police reported that Juan Alverio-Rivera was driving west on Landis Avenue at a high rate of speed and crashed into a tree at about 1:40 a.m. Alverio-Rivera, was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger was airlifted to Cooper Medical Center with critical injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Vineland Police Traffic Safety Unit.
