VILLAS MAN CHARGED IN COLLISION WITH MOTORCYCLE

On Friday, Lower Township Police responded to a motor vehicle accident, with injury, involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck at the intersection of Bayshore Road and McKinley Avenue in Villas just before 5 p.m. Police report that the pick-up truck, operated by 57-year-old Wilson Crespo, from the 100 block of McKinley Avenue, fled the accident scene and was detained several blocks away by passing motorists. The motorcyclist, who was traveling southbound on Bayshore Road, suffered serious injury as a result of the collision and was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center City Division where he is in stable condition. Crespo was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, including driving without a license and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle. He was arrested placed in the Cape May County Jail on $15,000 bail.
