VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP FIRE

A man killed in a fire in Whitesboro has been identified. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Stephen G. Grison, 71 years of age was found inside of the residence near the front door. The victim was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. It was learned that the fire originated in the kitchen area of the residence. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is presently under investigation. An autopsy will be performed on the body as well. An investigation is on-going into the fire that broke out at 1504 Route 9 South.
