The identities of both the victim and the driver involved in a fatal accident over the weekend in Sea Isle City have been identified. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office reports that 69 year-old Bernice Pasquarello of Medford, N.J., was struck and killed by a public works vehicle driven by 33 year-old Andrew Mattern of Upper Township. The report says that Mattern accidentally ran over Pasquarello on the city’s promenade at about 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as crews were removing debris from Hurricane Sandy. The truck was in reverse and travelling at a low rate of speed when impact occured. Pasquarello was pronounced dead at the scene.
