Sports gambling is the advantage needed in Atlantic City. State Senator Jeff Van Drew thinks this and told Coastal Broadcasting it is one of the major reasons he helped co-sponsor legislation to make it legal in the state. He also said a lot of sports book activity is already going on illegally, and with organized crime. Van Drew believes if it was made legal in the state and done in the controlled walls of Atlantic City, then the process would become more fair and safe. There is going to be a public hearing in Atlantic City on the bill and Van Drew will testify at it on Monday.
